Full Class
The maximum number of students for a full class is 10 to 12 depending upon class. The small sizes of our full classes allow for more focused and individualized learning. There are three options to choose from as well as a fourth specialized program. Language only classes are designed to the needs, levels, and goals of each class and its students. Classes are enhanced with engaging activities to help children learn more Chinese.
Dance class students are also a part of the Melody Dance Group. Every few months, the dance students have the opportunity to perform their dances in events. The Melody Dance Group annually performs for several organizations and events such as the Kin-On Retirement Center, Folklife Festival, Seattle Center events, and the Evergreen State Fair.
The specialized HSK and SAT II preparation focuses specifically on the curriculum of the tests (specifically the HSK). Focusing mainly on comprehension and critical reading skills, the intense preparation class guarantees better test results. The HSK test, better known as the Chinese Proficiency Test, is China's national standardized test designed to assess the Chinese language proficiency of non-native speakers (including foreigners, overseas Chinese, and students from Chinese national minorities). The combination dance and language classes brings you the best of both. Students are also a part of the Melody Dance Group. Classes usually spend the first half of the time learning Chinese and the second half dancing.
This year, we are providing a Chinese calligraphy and art class taught by Helen Wang, a professional art instructor with several years of experience.

Small Groups
Small group classes offer everything a full class offers but with fewer people, making the class more intimate and private. Typical classes have three to six students. Small groups have a more intense curriculum and curriculum is much more flexible. They are customized to the specific individuals.
